What is naturopathy?
A holistic approach to health that focuses on supporting the body’s natural ability to heal itself. It combines natural therapies such as nutrition, herbal medicine, lifestyle modification, and mind-body practices to address the root causes of illness rather than just treating symptoms.
What types of conditions can be treated with naturopathy?
Some common conditions that respond well include chronic conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure and heart health, chronic pain and inflammation and digestive disorders, hormonal health, mental health, and weight management and so much more.
What can I expect during my first visit?
During the first visit, which can be done in person or virtually, a brief lifestyle history is obtained, and clarity on what your goal(s) is to improve your health concerns.
When do you see patients in-person in Tecumseh?
At this time, two days a month have been set aside for in-person visits. What treatments or therapies do you offer?
Aromatherapy, AromaTouch, Central Nervous Application (with herbs and oils), Reiki, and Chakra Balancing.
Do you use diagnostic testing such as heavy metal testing, hormone testing or other bloodwork?
Individual specific; however, testing may include Dried Blood Cell Analysis and Meta-Oxy Inflammation Test.
How long will it take to see results?
Every individual is different; however, with adherence to the recommendations, many clients have experienced changes within the first month.
Can you help with preventative care?
Yes, through education and a combination of nutrition, herbal medicine and lifestyle coaching, you can prevent the onset of many health issues.
How do you address mental and emotional health?
Mental and emotional health, such as stress and anxiety, depression, low energy or chronic fatigue can be address with nutritional support, herbal formulas, breathwork, meditation, mindfulness techniques, and creation of new habits that support your health.
Can I continue my current medications while seeing a naturopath?
It is imperative that you do not start or stop any medication without consultation with your medical provider. Before any herbal formula is recommended, a full review is completed to make sure there are no contraindications, but you are advised to discuss this with your medical provider. You will never be advised to stop medication without consultation with your doctor.
